Mission Brief

DocNav is an open-source, production-grade document intelligence system designed for deep semantic retrieval, multi-document reasoning, and verifiable citation generation. It bridges the gap between raw document ingestion (PDF, DOCX, structured data) and high-fidelity LLM reasoning pipelines through structure-aware chunking and hybrid dense-sparse vector indexing.

Key Features

Deep Retrieval Engine

  • Structure-aware document parsing preserving tables, hierarchies, and footnotes.
  • Hybrid lexical and dense semantic embeddings for zero-shot accuracy.
  • Grounded citations preventing LLM hallucination during cross-document synthesis.

Extensible Interfaces

  • Full Python SDK and high-performance CLI interface.
  • REST API endpoints for containerized production deployment.
  • Modular vector database adapters (Chroma, Qdrant, FAISS).
